I used to think gratitude was a verbal affirmation of thanks for the good things happening in our life then I realized that true gratitude is not only verbal but intentional. Our actions are the purest form of gratitude we can express to our source for all the things that have been bestowed on us by it's grace. So having a gratitude journal alone is not enough, everything you have that cannot be bought is a gift or talent and the way you treat those things directly correlate to your level of gratitude for those things, for example, you have a house that you are thankful for, is it well kept or messy? Another example, someone who has been given the opportunity to play football and has a knack for it would show gratitude by practicing every day, studying, watching better players and constantly improving and appreciating that asset, as assets are not only real estate and commodities but anything that increases in value, and your ability to increase your value is limitless. Why would the source give you more, more responsibility, more gifts, more opportunities when you have not sought to maximize what you've been given. So to really tune into the essence of gratitude and harness it's power to manifest the great life you deserve is by simply taking inventory of your life and finding ways in which you can maximize your appreciation for the things you already have. Clean your house, your car, spend your money wisely, invest quality time with your children, spouse, etc. Show up to your job early, look presentable, show interest, after all that's where your bread is being made why not increase your value in your position so you wont need to ask for a raise, as the universe is balanced and circumstances will align for their to be an increase in your pay to match the value that you gave.
